PhD students

Akash Narayanan (current).

Audriana Houtz (current).

Annie Holden (PhD 2026). After receiving her PhD, Annie became a Hans Rademacher Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Xiyan Zhong (PhD 2025). After receiving her PhD, Xiyan became a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute in Bonn.

Jiayi Shen (PhD 2025). After receiving her PhD, Jiayi took a position in industry.

Matthew Scalamandre (PhD 2024). After receiving his PhD, Matthew became a Brauer Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto.

Jacob Landgraf (PhD 2021). After receiving his PhD, Jacob took a position in industry.

Corey Bregman (PhD 2017). After receiving his PhD, Corey became an Instructor at Brandeis University. He is currently an assistant professor at Tufts University.

Kenan Ince (PhD 2016). After receiving their PhD, Kenan became an assistant professor at Westminster College, now Westminster University. They were promoted to associate professor and served as department chair. Tragically, Kenan passed away in 2023 (obituary).

David Cohen (PhD 2015). After receiving his PhD, David was an NSF postdoc and a Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago. He is currently working in industry.

James Cooper (PhD 2014). After receiving his PhD, James took a position in industry.

Postdocs

Rodrigo De Pool (2025-present). Rodrigo received his PhD in 2025 jointly from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas under the direction of Javier Aramayona.

Daniel Studenmund (2017-2020). Daniel received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2014 under the direction of Benson Farb. He is currently an assistant professor at Binghamton University.

Neil Fullarton (2014-2016). Neil received his PhD from the University of Glasgow in 2014 under the direction of Tara Brendle. He is currently working in industry.

Yunhui Wu (2012-2016). Yunhui received his PhD from Brown University in 2012 under the direction of Jeff Brock. He is currently a professor at Tsinghua University.
